Band camp updates (as of June 29, 2020)
The following message is to update parents and students about current guidelines and plans for band camp. These guidelines and plans may change AT ANY POINT and WILL LIKELY change before Band Camp starts, so please watch frequently for any updates. The current dates and times for Band Camp are July 27-31 and August 3-7, from 8:00am-11:30am and 12:30pm-4:00pm. Due to new regulations, only a limited amount of students will be allowed at a time in the band facilities. Because of this, I am working on a schedule to figure out when each section will come to campus. This will be released later this week.
Students MUST complete the AHSAA Physical, the MCPSS Fine Arts COVID Form, MHS Medical Form, and MHS Release Form before they can come to band camp (all forms are attached below). They MUST bring ALL forms with them the first day of band camp.
Each day, students will get their temperature taken before walking in the band room. If it is greater than 100.4° F, they will be sent home. Parents will need to check their child's temperature before leaving home to ensure it is below 100.4° F. If it is higher, the student needs to stay home and email Mr. White immediately. Missing Band Camp will not negatively affect students. If a parent wishes to keep a student home, please email Mr. White so he is aware. Students may video meet with Mr. White for private lessons to catch up.

Please make sure your student is signed up for band by going to murphyband.com, click on “Sign up for band”, then click “Registration”. As I continue to get regular updates and changes, I will send out new updates through murphyband.com and remind.com.
